Driving Directions

GPS Coordinates: N 39°41'49.91"
W 87°30'36.21"; elevation is 614 ft.

From the east: Take I-70 west to Hwy 41. Turn right and travel north on Hwy 63. Continue north for about 12 miles to the intersection of Hwys 163 and 63. Turn left onto Hwy 163 and travel west about 4 miles to Blanford and Hwy 71. Turn right (traveling north) for 2 miles. Turn right at the preserve sign (just before St. Bernice) and go 1/4 mile. The preserve is 1/4 mile on the left.

From the north: Travel south on Hwy 63 to Hwy 36. Turn right on Hwy 36, traveling west for about 6 miles. At the intersection of Hwys 36 and 71, turn left on Hwy 71 and travel south for about 8 miles through the town of St. Bernice, until you see the preserve sign (just out of St. Bernice). Turn left and go 1/4 mile. The preserve will be on your left.

Preserve Description
Nestled in a beautiful setting of spring-fed lakes and wooded landscapes, this 290-acre preserve offers recreational activities for every member of your family. There are 11 lakes in all, including a horseshoe-shaped lake for which the preserve is named. Ten of these lakes offer excellent fishing, while the 11th is rather shallow with a base of rock and sand.

News Flash! Horseshoe Lakes is happy to announce for all you ATV/Dirt Bike enthusiasts there is a newly constructed, newly opened recreation park located just 15 minutes from us. The new park is called Mule Ridge and they have miles of ATV trails for your riding pleasure. The owners have agreed to issue a discount to Thousand Trails members while staying here at Horseshoe Lakes. Check out the new park by clicking on their link at www.muleridge.com.
