From I-5: Take I-5 to Exit 71 (Onalaska), midway between Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington. Go east 2/10 mile to Forest Road. Take Forest Road east 1.6 miles to Jackson Hwy and drive 4/10 mile to North Fork Road. Turn right on North Fork Road and drive 4.1 miles to Centralia-Alpha Road. Turn right on Centralia-Alpha Road and drive 6/10 mile to the preserve on the right.

From the east on Hwy 12: Take US Hwy 12 West to milepost 81 at Silver Creek (approx. 5 miles from Mossyrock). Proceed to the Silver Creek Grange, Turn right onto SR 122. Follow about 1.5 miles and keep left at Y to Cinebar Rd. (SR 508 detour). Follow Cinebar Rd. to stop sign at SR 508 (about 5 miles). Turn left onto SR 508 and follow about 5 miles to Alpha Rd. Turn right and follow Alpha (which becomes Centralia-Alpha Rd.) to the preserve. The preserve is between mileposts 10 and 11.

Preserve Description
This preserve has spectacular views of Mt. Rainier from one side and Mt. St. Helens from the other side. The 300-acre Chehalis preserve offers private campsites amid a forest of Maple, Alder, and Douglas fir trees. This is where history began plus "Where all the Fun Began". Come visit Chehalis where the umbrella of trees line the roadways to your camping sites, and lush green ferns that will take your breath away. This is the ultimate in camping experiences. Lots of amenities, beautiful hiking trails and local area attractions that will certainly keep you entertained.

Chehalis is closed for the season. The park will re-open on March 28th, 2008. Hope to see you next year!
