In case you didn’t know, Bend-Sunriver has the reputation as the “Northwest’s Playground."  Surrounding the preserve are more than 60 alpine lakes, hiking/biking trails, rivers and championship golf courses.  Listed below are activites you can explore on and off the preserve.

    MAY 23-25 PAW PRINTS WEEKEND
    Calling all “PAWS“.  Dogs on parade, dog tricks, dog agility course  & more is planned for this weekend.   Lot’s of Treats of course.  Then, be sure to bring “PAWS” along on our annual “Walk the Trails Poker Walk”.   Weekend entertainment will be our favorites “Mr. Magic” and “Dr. A” on the saxophone.

    JUNE 1-13 ADULT TIME OUT
    It’s time for adult fun & games before the kids get out of school.  So, let’s have fun playing Bingo, Bunco, Mexican Train, Horse Racing & more.  Our local OSU van will be here to teach lessons on using your GPS & Digital camera & maybe more.  How about a couple potlucks?  Check the daily activity schedule and sign up.


    JUNE 13-15 DADS – WESTERN HEROES

    WANTED “REWARD” Dads, Dudes & Dudettes in Town Square.  Lots of   western games, scavenger hunt, Wild West root beer floats.  Come take dad to breakfast Sunday for free French toast.  Fun for all.   Hired Hands the awesome country band entertains us in the evening.

    JUNE 20-22& IT’S ALL ABOUT KIDS
    That's right - kids activities all weekend.  Lot’s of fun.   Clown workshop, face painting, bigger better obstacle course, free kid ice cream, free kid pancakes, movies, and popcorn.  Saturday evening kid’s show Mr. Magic -  bring mom & dad too, it’s ok.


    JUNE 27-29 FAMILY FUN FEST

    It’s all about family, fun, and teams this weekend.  Sign up your team early for our annual Family Triathlon, Obstacle Course Competition & Mini Golf Tournament.  Then join us in the lodge to welcome the up and coming new group  “LARICA”

    JULY 4-6 CELEBRATE AMERICA
    Bend is decorated, the campfire is lit, the parade is coming, the banana split extravaganza will be built and we will have a fantastic weekend.    Our evenings will wind down Friday the 4th with our own Rick & his guitar at the island campfire with marshmallows.  Saturday is Patriotic Bingo, and Sunday features  Norm Lynn with a  “ Classic Rock Experience”   Don’t miss all the fun times.   

    JULY 9-13 PICKLEBALL MANIA 
    Calling all Picklers. Pickleball Mania #2 is about to hit Bend again.   If you miss this one you'll be sorry.  Five (5) days of fun, food & friendly competition. We start out the week Wednesday with a special Polynesian dinner followed by events which will include Round Robin for men, women, youth & mixed.  Challenge games, social times, potluck, and awards are all included in the busy week.   For more information and to register visit this site: http://www.pickleballmania.htpickleball.org/. On Saturday evening, one of our most popular bands, the Hired Hands will entertain.

    JULY 18-20 WET & WILD
    The sun will be shinning, and the pools will rock and roll!  Don’t go near the pools unless you intend to be wet  – everything wet, wet, wet.   Sprinklers, slip & slide, water balloons & pool games. All the wet stuff this weekend.   Old Time Fiddlers entertain in the evening.


    JULY 25-27 RIVER MADNESS

    Will your beach ball take first place???? Our Deschutes River gets some action when we race the river on air mattresses, inner tubes etc. Then, Sunday here come the beach balls down the river. Buy one of our beach balls, decorate it and see if yours makes it to the finish line. All proceeds go to the Christmas for Kids fund. Pressure Ridge returns this weekend by popular demand - enjoy their music.

    AUGUST 1-3 PIRATES OF THE DESCHUTES
    Get your face painted, put on your scarf, make your pirate flag, gather your crew and don’t miss your ship.   We’re off to find the treasure on Deschutes Island.  Pirate Sundaes will be the special this weekend and in the evening we will enjoy our favorite "Hired Hands" Band.

    AUGUST 8-10 RIVER RATS RALLY
    Our backyard Little Deschutes River will be splashing with River Rats in inner tubes, air mattresses, rafts, or whatever you can race down the river. Plan to get wet but who cares – it’s the weekend of the River Rats water fun. Old Time Fiddlers will entertain you all weekend  - just - "Fiddlin Around"

    AUGUST 15-17 CARNIVAL JAMBOREE
    Our biggest Kid event of the summer.   Free kid tickets with lots of games & fun.   Silly Lilly will be back again with her cute balloons.   Don’t forget, win free tickets at the pre-carnival games Saturday morning. We get bigger every year so don’t miss out. Volunteers always needed, this is lots of fun.


    AUGUST 22-24 BOO FEST
    "WOW" a Fright Night in August in the Haunted Town Square.  And don’t forget the daytime Boo Fest games, Boo snacks, Boo sundaes, haunted movies & face painting. Don’t miss this one it gets scarier every year.    

    AUGUST 29-31 SUMMER OLYMPICS
    "2008 SUMMER OLYMPICS” Bend/Summer. Can you sprint, hurdle, kayak, or swim. Sign up early & join us as the parade of athletes raise the flag. The challenge is on & the flag flies proudly. Something for everyone. We need spectators too, cheering them on. Evening entertainment includes Tropicante on Saturday and Mr.Magic on Sunday.

    SEPTEMBER 5-20 ADULTS TIME OUT AGAIN
    We did it this spring, let’s do it this fall when the kids are back in school. Fun times playing Bingo, Bunco, Mexican Train, Horse Racing, Potlucks and more.  Check out the daily activity schedule and sign up.
