Theme Weekends 2008
May 23-25 Memorial Weekend
Calling all “Greasers”! It’s back to the 50’s once again. So dust off your saddle shoes and grease back your hair for a fun filled weekend 50’s style. There will be a cruise-in for all you car collectors, 50' and 60's music by the group “Full Circle” with dance competitions, Mel’s Diner will be grilling up some goodies. Hula hoop contests and lots more. So, be there or be square. Ya dig?
May 30-June 1st: It’s Hobo Weekend Time
We’ll be cooking up hobo stew, singing campfire songs, having campfire cooking demos, making and flying kites and a few other surprises. So hop a train (or RV) and come see us.
June 6-8th We’re going to the Dogs!
This weekend is all about pets. We’ll be grilling burgers and dogs on Friday night. There will be healthy pet treats demo’s, a dog show, a best dressed pet contest and a look alike contest. So grab Fido and FeeFee and come join us for a howling good time.
June 13-15th It’s all about Dad!
A Father-Son fishing tournament starts us off followed by horseshoes and a round of Putt-Putt. There will be breakfast both Saturday and Sunday and a Taco Bar on Saturday night.
June 20-22nd Lazy days of Summer Pool games, watermelon seed spitting, sack races and canoe races just gets us started. There will be a Vow Renewal Service with Reception on Saturday evening under the stars.

June 27-29th Amazing Race!! We’ll start off with a Friday night grill out followed by a movie and popcorn. Saturday the Race is on for both kids and adults. Saturday evening it’s karaoke time.
July 4-6 July 4th weekend It’s all about the water this weekend. Boats of all kinds will be hitting the lake. It’s a pirate themed weekend with the return of our 2nd annual Radio Controlled boat Regatta. Rubber Duckies will be racing once again and boat all decked out will be parading on the big lake. You won’t want to miss this one.
July 11-13th Civil War Living History
We’ll kick off Friday with a Pot Luck Dinner followed by bored games. Saturday offers living history with a civil war encampment with cooking demonstrations and a cannon firing along with other displays to view and talk about. The weekend ends with music at the pavilion.
July 18-20th It’s Christmas in July!!
We’re all decked out for Christmas, except for the snow. We’ll be making decorations, trimming trees, making cookies, having snowball fights, and having Christmas dinner with Santa and Mrs. Claus!
July 25-27th NASCAR Weekend!! Radio control cars will dominate the Basketball courts this weekend for our own Brickyard 400 time trials. We’ll have a walkathon around the park with your favorite driver represented on your t-shirt. Prize goes to the 1st over the finish line .
August 1-3rd Remember the 60’s
It’s peace and love for this hippie weekend. We’ll be tye dying t-shirts and making jewelry to wear to the dance on Sat. featuring 60's and 70's music. Breakfast Sat. & Sun.

August 8-10th Luau at the Beach!
We’re having a Hawaiian luau. Get ready for beach volleyball, limbo contests, wet t-shirt contest, decorated golf cart parade and some great food.

August 15-17th We've gone Country!
It’s gonna be a hoe down tonight with toe tappin’ and some good foot stomping. Followed by our Mexican/Chili cook-off.
August 22-24th Carnival at Mardi Gras!
The carnival has come to town with rides for the kids and games for all. We’ll be cooking up Cajun at the Pavilion for some good eatin’.Cloggers will be on hand to show you their moves. Golf cart parade with Mardi Gras beads in the afternoon.
August 29-Sept. 1st: Labor Day Weekend!
Saturday beach volleyball and corn hole tournament at the big lake. Breakfast Sat. & Sun. at the Superhost kitchen. There will be Garage Sale bingo on Sunday. Bring an item you would put or buy at a garage sale for prizes. Horseshoe tournament in the afternoon. Bike and golf cart parade with prizes for best decorated Parrot Heads. Music under the stars in the evening.
