03/06 – 08: Bowl-a-thon: Fill your BOWL to the rim at the Friday Night Chili Pot Luck
Social. Saturday show off your BOWLING SKILLS with the Wii. Sunday we’ll fill your BOWL with ice cream at our Saturday Ice Cream Social.
Bowling not your thing? Your friends will be bowled over by the beautiful
bracelet you make in a Beginning Bead Weaving Class.

03/13 – 15: Wearin-O-the Green: Join us Friday evening for a Baked Potato Pot Luck Social. Is a pot of gold in your future? Find out Saturday when you test your luck at the “Catch Me If You Can, “Leprechaun” Scavenger Hunt. On St Patrick’s Day, join us for our famous Corn Beef & Cabbage Lunch. Too much of a good thing? How about a session of high energy/low impact chair aerobics. Pick up tips and techniques for journaling in a “Thanks for the Memories” Journaling Class. Make a Mini Journal/Scrapbook. Sing some fine old Irish songs at a Karaoke Social.

03/20 – 22: March into Spring: Take a break from winter and join us Friday night for a Spring Salad Pot Luck Social and stay for Brown Bag Bingo. Take a beginning Oil Painting Class where we’ll be painting a Spring Landscape. Put a little spring in your step as you walk around the lake in the fresh spring air, and then join us for Karaoke.

03/27 – 29: April Fools: Bring a surprise addition to our Friday Night Macaroni &
Cheese Pot Luck Social. This will be a weekend of Scavenger Hunts, riddles and wacky prizes for all ages. Bring a surprise gift, silly or serious concealed in a brown paper bag (under $2.00 please) to Friday Night Bingo. We’ll mix the bags and give them out for bingo prizes. Sign-up for a Beginning Digital Photography Class and learn the basics of digital photography then craft a mini accordion scrap/memory book. How about some Crazy Karaoke?

APRIL

04/03 – 05: Murder Mystery Weekend: Join us Friday Night for a Mystery Soup Pot Luck Social. Bring your favorite soup ingredient to add to our mystery soup. Bring a surprise in a brown paper bag and will play Mystery Prize Bingo. Saturday Test you sleuthing skills in a Murder Mystery scavenger hunt. Not enough Puzzle solving? How about a game of Clue on the big screen?
We’ll also craft a puzzle picture frame. Take the “Mystery” out of
photography. Sign up for a basic Photo Composition Class.

04/10 –12: Easter: The Easter Bunny is at it again and he'll be making way to Lake Minden for our annual Easter Weekend of fun! Friday night join us for the “Anything but Eggs”, Pizza Pot Luck Social. Saturday we’ll be dying EGGS, doing EGG crafts! Join us Saturday for our Annual Easter Weekend Ham Pot Luck. Sunday the Easter Bunny will join us for our Annual EGG Hunt. Take a class and learn how to do and incorporate Depression Lace (AKA Chicken Scratch) in to your scrapbooking or card making. Make a Depression Lace Greeting Card.

04/17 – 19: Earth Day: Join us for a Friday Night Baked Potato Pot Luck Social and stay for Brown Bag Bingo. Take a Polymer Clay Bead Class, and make faux natural stone beads that we’ll incorporate in a jewelry project. Join us for an Earth Day Scavenger Hunt and learn some fun facts about Lake Minden. Kids and adults can Make Dirt Babies.

04/24 – 26: Up, Up and Away: How high can we stack a pizza? Come find out at our Friday Night Pot Luck Pizza Social. Make Kites, pin wheels and paper airplanes. Win prizes for the highest flying kite, wackiest pin wheel, and the most original paper airplane. Would you like to take paper folding? Take a Tea-Bag Folding Class and make a variety of folded medallions for cards and scrapbooking.

MAY

05/01-- 03: Cinco De Mayo: Hola Amigos! Bring your favorite Nacho toping and join us for a Friday Night Nacho Pot Luck Social. Come celebrate Cinco de Mayo with lots of Latin theme activities, food and crafts. Show off your singing talents at afternoon Karaoke. Take a beading class and make a pair of Mandela Earrings and sponge paint a Peppered T-Shirts. Help bust a piñata.

05/08 – 10: Mother’s Day: Join us for a Friday Night Baked Potato Pot Luck and stay for Brown Bag Bingo. Hey Scrappers! Pack up your families and your supplies and come meet with other scrapbooking enthusiasts for a four hour Scrap-a-thon with fun and memories! This is the perfect setting to meet with other scrappers to share ideas and supplies! Join us for a Mother’s Day Pot Luck Pie Social and then burn off the calories in a mom and child paddleboat race across the lake. Bring the family and join us for Mother’s Day Wii Bowling. Would you like to take better photos? Sign up for a basic Photo Composition Class.

05/15 – 17: Boat Races: The Hydro Plane boats are back. Join us Friday for a Hoagie Sandwich Pot Luck, followed by Brown Bag Bingo. Enjoy the excitement of watching these beautiful boats race around the lake. Take Beginning Photography Class. Take an Oil Painting on Miniature Canvas Class. Find that special little Something at a member Craft Sale.

05/22 – 24: Memorial Day, Hawaiian Luau. One of the best loved weekends returns again! Let’s kick off the weekend with a Friday Night Tropical Salad, Pot Luck Social. We encourage everyone to dress Hawaiian casual so don't forget the grass skirts, leis and those beautiful shirts - prizes for the most colorful costume. Come for the Hawaiian BBQ and stay for the activities. We'll have a coconut shot-put, pineapple bowling, hula hoop and a Jell-O eating contest. Take a Polymer Class and learn how to make and incorporate polymer embellishments into scrapbooking.

05/29 – 31: Bubble Blast Weekend, Who doesn't love bubbles? Be careful that your Root Beer float doesn’t bubble over at our Friday Night Dinner Social. Saturday we’ll be painting with bright colored bubbles, doing water play with bubbles, blowing gigantic bubbles and having bubble a gum blowing contests. Learn how to make several different bubble concoctions and home made bubble wands.

JUNE

06/05 – 07: Survivor: Friday Night we’ll kick off this action packed weekend with a Taco Pot Luck Social. Are you brave enough to try out Hot, Hot, and Hotter Salsa or will you stick with the mild? Saturday we’ll introduce our newest weekend activity, Lake Minden Survivor! Teams will compete for rewards and immunity. Meanwhile, challenge your cleverness with our weekend long Treasure Hunt. A new and puzzling clue will be posted hourly until someone uncovers the hidden prize. Sunday tests your knowledge and with in the classic game show Family Feud.

06/12 – 14: Lake Minden’s Got Talent. Friday night show off your culinary skills at a Salad Pot Luck and Desert Social. Do you sing, dance or do magic? Are you a clown, a musician or ventriloquist? Do you have a hidden talent no one knows about? Do you have what it takes to win over our three judges? If you’re between the ages of 4 and 104 Saturday will be your chance to perform in front of a live audience at our first ever Lake Minden’s
Got Talent Hour. Sign-up for a Beginning Digital Photography Class and learn the basics of digital photography. Utilize Photos to make beautiful
greeting cards or take the Paddle Boat Race Challenge

06/19 – 21: Superheroes: Not sure what to get dad for Father’s Day? We have
the perfect solution! Bring dad to Lake Minden where every dad is a Super
Hero. Friday Night we’ll have a Super “Hero Sandwich” Pot Luck Social followed by B-I-N-G-O. Saturday join dad and solve the riddles and reveal the super villain’s hideouts at our Super Dad Scavenger Hunt. Challenge your dad to a game of Father/Child horse shoes or mini-golf? Kids can make a fathers day craft. Join us Saturday for Family Karaoke. Would you like to take better photos? Sign up for a basic Photo Composition Class.

06/26 – 28: Clowning Around: Friday night baked Potato Pot Luck. Bring a silly surprise concealed in a brown paper bag ($1.00 please) to Friday Night Bingo. We’ll mix up the bags and give them out for bingo prizes. Learn how to make balloon animals with Pom Pom the Clown; you can test your “silliness skills” at pineapple bowling, the coconut shot-put, toilet paper roll toss, popsicle lick off and a Jell-O eating contest. Kids can also get their face painted and do a silly craft. Saturday White Elephant/Crafts Sale

JULY

07/03 – 05: Star Spangled Celebrations. Friday Night bring your favorite ethnic pot luck dish for a Melting Pot, Pot Luck. Well celebrate the diversity that makes American great. Join the fun around the park where we will schedule a variety of competitive games including horse shoes, volley ball, soft ball, and mini golf. Are you into Arts & Crafts? Take a Depression Lace class. Enjoy a BBQ Lunch then meet us on the main lawn dressed in red, white and blue, for a Salute to America Group Photo. Cool off with a dip in the lake, but don’t forget Hot dogs, S’mores followed by Safe and Sane Fireworks Display.

07/10 – 12: Lake Minden’s Got Talent ll? Don’t forget to bring your addition for the Friday Night, Giant Salad Pot Luck Dinner Social. Do you have a hidden
talent no one knows about? Now is your chance to perform in front of a live audience. If you’re between 4 to104 you can sign up for our Lake Minden Saturday Evening Talent Hour and see if you can win over our three judges. Show off your crafting talent; bring your favorite craft and pattern and will share and swap crafting ideas and patterns. Are you talented at sports? Test your skill at bat at a Saturday Base Ball game. Sign-up for a winning Digital Photography Class and learn the basics of digital photography.

07/17 –19: Amazing Race: Join us for a Spaghetti and Meat Balls Friday Night Dinner Social. Can you solve the riddles, and follow the clues that take you around
the park and reach the “desired destination” first? Participate in the Amazing
Race, Lake Minden style and find out if you’ve got what it takes to win. Would you like to take better photos? Sign up for a Basic Photo Composition Class, or make a set of map place mats.

07/24 – 26: Redneck Rendezvous: You might be a redneck if you show up this weekend in your best redneck costume prepared to play games. Join us Friday Night for a Sloppy Joe, Pot Luck social. Saturday will be filled with Knee slappin' and foot stompin' root beer float drinking fun for all. We'll have redneck horseshoes, a watermelon seed spitting contest, a Toilet paper roll, bowl toss, and a hillbilly (armpit) serenading contests. How about some recycled crafts or a Polymer Clay Bead Class Don’t forget we’ll be roasting hot dogs and marshmallows Saturday evening.

07/31- 8/02: Renaissance Weekend: The Kingdom of Lake Minden invites kings, queens, jesters, merchants, peasants and monks to come for a weekend of medieval fun. Bring a finger food addition to our Friday Night Medieval, Pot Luck Social. Saturday prepare for mini carnival games, contests from the days of medieval knights, including a Sword in the Stone Scavenger Hunt and medieval-style jousting. Make a pair of Victorian earrings in a Beading Class. Kids can craft a crown or magic wand. Join us for a BBQ Feast. Maybe you’ll catch that big one at the royal fishing derby. AUGUST

08/07 – 09: Caribbean Crossbones: Arrrr Matey! Pirates have taken over Lake Saturday compete in a fishing derby or see if you can follow the clues and find the hidden treasure, later outwit your opponent at a game of Liar’s Dice, and Guess the Gold Coins. Prepare for a voyage and enter the paddle boat races across the lake followed by a BBQ Salmon and Cold Slaw lunch. Make a set of map place mats or take a Macramé Class. Share your tall tales around the fire ring while roasting Hot Dogs and S’mores.

08/14 – 16: Sandtastic Beach Party: Join us Friday Night for Hoagie Sandwich Pot luck Social. Saturday Pom Pom the Clown will make appearance for the kids. Then grab a bucket enter a Sand Castle building competition. Do a Sand Craft or Sand Painting. Enter a Popsicle Lick-Off, hula hoop contest or play a lively game of volleyball. Saturday Night we’ll roast Hot Dogs and S’mores on the main lawn. Sign-up for a Beginning Digital Photography Class and learn the basics of digital photography.

08/ 21 – 23: Lake Minden’s Got Talent lll. Show off your cooking talents at our Friday Night Pot Luck and Desert Social. Do you sing, dance or do magic? Are you a clown, a musician or ventriloquist? Do you have a hidden talent no one knows about? This is your chance of the summer to perform in front of a live audience. If you’re between 2 to 102 you can sign up for our Lake Minden Saturday Evening Talent Hour and see if you can win over our three judges. 08/28 – 30: Life’s a Mystery: Bring your favorite “mystery” addition for Mystery Pot Luck. Why not take a Mystery Craft Class? Are you ready for a day of secrecy and intrigue? Catch Me If You Can is part scavenger hunt and part criminal mystery. A thief has stolen a most prized possession and we need your help to find both the thief and our precious item! This exciting night culminates with an awards ceremony where everyone including the thief has a chance to win a prize. Do a Mystery Craft. Flea Market/Crafts Sale

SEPTEMBER

09/04 – 06: Labor Day/1950's Sock Hop: Fun for the whole family. Join us Friday Night for a Pizza & Root Beer Float Pot Luck dinner, followed by B-I-N-G-O. Make a hip 50’s craft, take a polymer clay class or compete in a Monopoly play off. Let’s roast Hot Dog and S’mores, and then complete in a Bubble a Gum Blowing, Limbo, and Hula Hoop Contest.

09 /11 – 13: America the Beautiful: Join us for an All American Weekend. We’ll have a Friday Night Pot Luck Social and Apple Pie Ala mode. Inter a Monopoly marathon, puzzling competition or chase down clues on a fall scavenger hunt. Play DVD board games or get a head start on those Christmas crafts and gifts by taking a Beaded Ornament Class or crafting a mini album.

09/18 – 20: Chili Cook Off: Bring your best pot of Chili and join us for Pot Luck Social following the chili judging. Too much good chili? How about a brisk walk around the lake? Take a Polymer Clay Holiday Bead Making Class or do a fall craft. Not crafty, try karaoke.

09/25 – 27: Falling for Fall: Come to an Apple Cider tasting and sample a variety of spiced apple ciders. Take a fall themed Oil Painting Class, or do Fall inspired crafts. Not into crafts, inter a monopoly or mini gulf challenge.
 
OCTOBER

10/03 – 05: Oktoberfest: Join us for a Friday Night Baked Potato Pot Luck Social and stay for Brown Bag B-I-N-G-O. Dig in to brats & sauerkraut, root beer floats and a German desert. Play carnival games, make a traditional German craft or take a Getting Ready for Christmas Beading Class. Test your skill at Wii bowling.

10/09 – 11: Cornucopia: Come share holiday recipes, cookies and chat over coffee and hot chocolate. Craft a fall floral center piece and take a Depression Lace Christmas Card Class. Test your memory playing a Movie trivia game. Show off your mini gulf skills at a mini gulf challenge.

10/16 – 18: Getting Ready for Ghouls & Boat Races: Share your favorite “not too” scary ghost story at a baked potato, chili and hot chocolate social. Enjoy the excitement of boat races. Exchange recipes for ghoulishly fun foods. make masks, ghosts other Halloween crafts just in time to decorate for the site decorating contest. And if you’re not afraid of things that go bump in the night, join us for a good old fashioned Barn Dance.

10/23 – 25: United Nations Day: Bring your favorite ethnic dish for a Multicultural Pot Luck Social and share the recipe as we celebrate the diversity of our great nation. Don’t forget to stay for B-I-N-G-O. Eat a little too much? How about a walk around the lake? Take a Christmas Card Making Class and learn card crafting techniques form different countries as we start making cards for our veterans and the men and woman overseas.

10/30 – 11/01: Monster Mash Bash: This will be a weekends of Ghoulish Halloween Fun. Don’t be chilled to the bone. Bring your favorite addition for chili for a Chili Pot Luck Social. Saturday we’ll have a haunted carnival, a “scarier by the hour” movie marathon, pumpkin decorating contest (carved, painted and/or dressed), a Halloween site decorating, and site to site hay ride trick or treating and costume contest. Work out the kinks with the Wii Dance.

NOVEMBER

11/06 – 08: A Salute to Veterans: Join us for a Veterans Day Pie Social. Veterans are encouraged to bring stories and photos you’d like to share with other veterans and members. We’ll share web search and site information.
Watch historical DVD’s, do a patriotic Christmas Craft or play horse Shoes.

11/13 – 15: Baby Its Cold Outside: Sounds like a great time for cards, board games, puzzles and hot chocolate. Let’s bet busy with Christmas crafts and
Ornament Classes.

11/20 – 22: Giving Thanks: Take part in a traditional Thanksgiving meal of turkey and dressing at our Annual Thanksgiving Pot Luck. Enjoy a scrumptious meal and then take a relaxing walk around the lake. Join us for Karaoke or take a Polymer Clay class and make mini ornaments Beading Class: Christmas Ornament cover.

11/27 – 29: Deck the Halls: Bring your favorite addition to baked potatoes and stay for Brown Bag B-I-N-G-O. Help decorate the trees in the Adult & Family Lodge then join for Wii Bowling. Take a Peyote Stitch Beading Class and make a Santa Bracelet and make a Christmas Craft.

DECEMBER

12/04 – 06: Saint Nicklaus Day. Get in the spirit on a holiday caroling hay ride around the park, back at the lodge we’ll warm up with hot chocolate and a
Christmas Movie. It’s not too late to bead a pair of Beaded Santa Earrings
in a Holiday Bead Class. Learn traditional St. Nicklaus customs and share
your own holiday memories at our Friday Night Pot Luck Social. Too cold for a walk? Stretch out those kinks with aerobics chair dancing style.

12/11--13: Christmas Caper: Join us for a Mystery Pot Luck Social Discover clues where you least expect them as you try to solve the “Christmas Who done it?” Do a mystery craft. You won’t know what it is until it’s done. Or take a mystery class and learn things you never thought you needed to know. Last but not least. Take the mystery out of yoga with chair aerobics.

12/18 – 20: Christmas Pot Luck Social: Join us for our Annual Christmas Pot Luck Dinner Social. Follow the clues and hunt for the Yule Log. Not quite finished with your Christmas shopping? Take a Beading Class and make a bracelet or two. You can also craft a Christmas ornament.

12/25 – 27: Merry Christmas/Happy New Year: Join us for coffee, eggnog and good conversation. We’ll play cards and board games and share holiday
memories and stories with old friends a new.
