APRIL

4/17 – 4/19 Let’s Get Rolling: Welcome back everyone! Gather around the fireplace in the Member’s Lounge for a social and movies. Hope you’re excited to begin another season at Moody Beach. Celebrate Earth Day!

4/24 – 4/26 Hobo Weekend: Rag tag or not, this will be a laid back weekend. Join us for Hobo Stew in the Lounge for lunch on Saturday. Bring a dish for 6 to 8 to share.

MAY

5/1 – 5/3 Horseshoe Tournament Weekend: Join us for a 2 person
tournament. Bring a friend or we can pair you up for a great game or two of horseshoes. We’ll have a weenie cook-out at lunch time at the pits.

5/8 – 5/10 Mother’s Day Weekend: Let’s pamper Mom with a “Ladies Day”. We’ll have tea and cakes in the lounge and maybe a fashion show! Flea Market weekend at the Rec Hall.

5/15 – 5/17 Prince and Princess Weekend: Build sand castles, make
crowns and tiaras, and take a wagon ride around the “kingdom” of Moody Beach.
Friendly games of Family Feud and Tug-o-War.

5/22 – 5/25 Honor Our Veterans: May we always be true to the “Red,
White and Blue”. Join us near the Ranger Station for a flag ceremony to honor the men and women who helped make our country free.

5/29– 5/31 Bar-B-Q Weekend: Shuffleboard, horseshoes, Frisbee toss and
more games as we enjoy a Bar-B-Q lunch on the Patio. Country Store Specials.

JUNE

6/5 – 6/7 Movie Mania: Movies on the lawn for all ages. Maybe even a
“classic”. Test your movie knowledge with our trivia game. Sign up for next week’s
Sunday golf game with Sonya

6/12 – 6/14 Golf Weekend: Test your chipping and putting skills. Wonder Mountain Mini-golf tournament. How about a round of golf with Sonya? Sign up required.

6/19 – 6/21 Game Days: Ping Pong, Not-So-Newlywed Challenge, 3 man bball are this weekends games. Ice Cream Sundaes on Sunday.

6/26 – 6/2: Wilderness Camping Weekend: Learn the basics of camping
and fire building. Cook great desserts over the open fire. Walk the local beaches or nature trails. Ladder golf games on Sunday.

JULY

7/3 – 7/5 Stars and Stripes Weekend: Celebrate our Nation’s birthday with ice cream socials, wagon rides, bicycle obstacle course challenge, volleyball matches and a hotdog cookout. See the Country Store or Ranger-on-duty for a list of the local fireworks displays. Country Store Specials. Flea Market in the Rec Hall on Sunday.

7/10 – 7/12 Root’n - Toot’n Wild West Weekend: Bring your cowboy
boots and hats as we learn to yodel, play the “harmonica” and lasso a “steer”. Share a
bean supper on Saturday evening. We’ll cook the beans; you bring a dish for 6 to 8 to
share at the Patio.

7/17 – 7/19 Old Fashion Carnival Weekend: Activities for all ages Ring Toss, Hoop Challenge, Dessert Social, Dart Game, Bicycle Parade, Face Painting and Magic. Bring your squirt guns for our “water wars” on Saturday afternoon. Enjoy an Ice Cream Social then a wagon ride to Wonder Mountain Mini-golf for a game on Sunday.

7/24 – 7/26 Christmas in July Weekend: Tis’ the season to be jolly!
Long Lazy days of summer, fun at the beach and at the pool. Limbo contest and ladder golf are a couple of activities to enjoy this weekend. Soak up the sunshine and enjoy your family and friends. Sing Christmas carols and Hanukah songs on our wagon ride. Site decorating contest – sign up at the Country Store.

AUGUST

7/31 – 8/2 50’s Weekend: Slick back your hair and put on your poodle skirts as we remember the 50’s. Bring your pictures to share at a pool side cook-out with burgers and hotdogs. Enjoy our”drive in” movie theater with popcorn and drinks. Take the Hoola Hoop Challenge pool side.

8/7 – 8/9 Furry Friends Weekend: Our cats and dogs mean the world to us, so let’s show them off this weekend. Pet Parade with prizes, Pet Talent Show, Ice Cream Social with “treats” for our friends. All pets must be on a leash and well behaved. Sign up for Surf and Turf Weekend in the Country Store.

8/14 – 8/16 Surf and Turf Weekend: Maine celebrates Lobster this month and it is one of the most popular here at Moody Beach. Please sign up early and get your tickets. Find Larry the Lobster game, pin the tail on the lobster, family softball game, lobster ice cream and wagon rides are some of the fun this weekend.

8/21 – 8/2: Luau and Elvis Weekend: Come to Moody Beach as we make the park into our “tropical paradise”. Wear your brightest Hawaiian shirt and compliment it with a lei! Then limbo and dance the night away!

8/28 – 8/30 What a Wonderful World Weekend: Celebrate camping at Moody Beach – bring a friend and let them enjoy camping here in Maine! We’ll have arts and crafts, sing and dance, enjoy a good s’more and a campfire or two.

SEPTEMBER

9/4 – 9/6 Labor Day Weekend: This may be called the end of summer but we aren’t done yet! Enjoy a weekend of campfires, cookouts, and relaxation. Kids can participate in a scavenger hunt and win a cool back-to-school prize! Entertainment on Saturday evening.

9/11 – 9/13 Grandparents Day Weekend: It’s Grandparents Day on Sunday! We’ll make them a special gift on Saturday. Enjoy a yummy desserts social around the campfire later in the evening. It will be a day everyone is sure to remember!

9/18 – 9/20 Indoor Games Weekend: This is the weekend to get back to basics! Card games like Phase 10, SKIP-BO, and Cribbage will get the ball rolling. We will play other board games and enjoy pizza and snacks. There will be something for everyone to like this weekend!

9/25 – 9/27 Pot Luck Weekend: Everyone has a favorite dish they like to make. Sign up in the Country Store. Join us for an evening of good food and conversation on Saturday night in the members lounge.

OCTOBER

10/2 – 10/4 October Festival and Trick or Treat Weekend: Stop by the Country Store for a list of the local festivals. The fall leaves are beautiful this time of year – how about nice drive or walk to catch the color. Pumpkin decorating, costume parade, hay ride and Trick or Treats awaits you Saturday afternoon. Sunday’s pancake breakfast is sure to please you and fill you up – in the Rec Hall.

10/9 – 10/11 Columbus Day Weekend: Discover all the fun you can have while camping in Maine. Learn about the extended stay programs at Moody Beach. If you’re a football fan, let’s toss the “pig skin” around and get ready for the games.

10/16 – 10/18 Thanksgiving Day Weekend: On our final weekend of the season, we would like to give thanks to our Outdoor World Family who is so special to us. Join us for a pot luck turkey dinner – we’ll cook the turkey and you bring the dish for 6 to 8 to share at the Members Lounge. Don’t forget to sign up and someone remember the cranberries, please.
