Theme Weekends 2009

April 10-12 "Hoppy" to See You Back Weekend.
This year we again open on Easter Weekend. We will have egg painting, Egg Hunt,[weather permitting] and an Easter Dinner on Saturday evening. PAD will provide the ham and scalloped potatoes, you bring the sides.

 

May 8-10 Mothers Day Weekend
Not just "tea for two" but for all the Ladies. Join us for our yearly Ladies Tea Party. Our ladies look forward to the tea every year.

May 22-25 Memorial Weekend
Splish, splash the pool opens this weekend! Decorate your site for the judging. We will have crafts for the kids and a red, white and blue parade so decorate your bikes, trikes, wagons, strollers, etc and join us. We are having a Band on Saturday night. The band will play around the pool, weather permitting.

May 29-31 County Fair Weekend
The farm animals will visit again this year. Bring your best apple pie for our apple pie contest.

June 5-7 Chuck wagon Chili Cook off Weekend
Howdy Partner! Did you bring your chili recipe for the cook off?? Saturday night come out and hear Matthew Dodd entertain us with songs and stories of the old west.

June 12-14 Circus Weekend
 This year we have Chloe the Clown here on Saturday evening.

June 19-21 Fiddler Picnic/ Fathers Day Weekend
Bluegrass, Folk, Gospel and Old Time Bands are invited to attend our 2nd annual Fiddler Picnic. The Bands will be playing in our Picnic Grove[weather permitting]. We will also have a Pig Roast, so come out hear some toe tapping music and have a hearty meal.$. Don't forget Dad this weekend! We always have a duct tape craft.

June 26-28 Meet & Greet Weekend
Come out and meet new campers or visit with old friends at our Wine & Cheese Social.[BYOB].

July 3-5 Independence Day
Decorate your site for the judging. We will have wagons rides, and a kids parade.  Help us celebrate America's Birthday with a Birthday Cake. We will have a country/variety band on Saturday night by the pool.

July 10-12 Heroes Weekend
Help us honor all those that serve this weekend. Military, Firemen, Police, EMS & Teachers.

July 17-19 Glow in the Dark weekend
We will have a glow stick wagon ride and a black light dance this weekend.

July 24-26 Christmas in July Weekend
 Decorate your campsite for the judging. We will have a Christmas craft for the kids.  Build your own snowman contest. Christmas Potluck, we will provide the turkey you bring the sides. We will have wagon rides and Christmas caroling. Bring your best cookies to the Christmas cookie bake-off and recipe exchange.

July 31-August 2 New Years Weekend
We will have music for you to listen or dance to. Bring a snack to share.

August 7-9 NASCAR Weekend
The kids love to make their own race cars out of cardboard boxes. We have a parade to showoff your race cars to the other camper. Everyone wear your favorite drivers shirts and hats this weekend.

August 14-16 National Relaxation Weekend
This year we have a new band with us. Men and Machine Band uses a combination of live and pre-recorded music [all made by the 2 band members] to create the sound of a 5 piece band. Between them, the two members sing and play 10 different instruments. The Band plays music for all ages [Oldies, top 40, rock & roll, country, soul, swing, fast & slow line dances].

August 21-23 Romantic/Valentine Weekend.
 We have a Romantic Dinner every year. Be sure to sign up early, we can take only a limited number of couples.$. . The kids can make valentines and exchange them with their camping friends or family.

August 28-30 National Toasting Marshmallow Day Weekend
Come to our bonfire and toast a few marshmallows in honor of the holiday. Bring your mountain pie makers and ingredients to enter your mountain pie in our Best Mountain Pie contest.

September 4-7 Labor Day Weekend
 Decorate your site for the judging. The pool closes this weekend, so get your last swimming of summer in. We will have crafts for the kids, wagon rides and a kids parade. We will also have entertainment on Saturday night.

September 11-13 Grandparents Weekend.
Make a card or small gift for your grandparents this weekend.

October 9-11 Fall Festival Weekend I
We are having a pumpkin patch hunt. You must find your site # pumpkin in the patch at dark with a flashlight.

October 16-18 Fall Festival Weekend II
Decorate your pumpkin for the judging contest. We will have a costume parade, wagon rides, trick or treating and costume contest.
