Welcome to our activities page! Here is some general information that you might find useful:
CAMPFIRES: Wood campfires are permitted year around except when conditions prohibit them. Some campsites have a BBQ ring, while others have a rock ring. Wood is for sale at the ranger station and store for $5 per bundle. Accessories for campfires such as extended camp forks, hot dogs, and marshmallows (as well as graham crackers and chocolate candy bars for making s'mores!) are also available at the store.
MEAL SERVICE: Lunches and dinners are served from May through October. Homemade sandwiches, burgers, kielbasa, dogs, soups, chowder and chili are just a few of our speciality lunches. Grilled steak and salmon, chicken, spaghetti, tri-tip beef, are standard dinner fare. We'll also be having special events like a Fish Fry, Oktoberfest and Luau feast.

January Weekends: Bingo, Fireside socials with roasted hot dogs & S'mores. Winter Storm watch from our ocean view lodge, then hunt for treasures on the beach.
February 8-18: Area Attraction: Quilt Run 101 8th Annual Oregon Coast Shop Hop with 13 quilting shops participating from Astoria to Brookings.
February 8-10: Area Attraction: Chocolate Wine and Art Your Heart's Desire at the Pelican Pub and Brewery in Pacific City

February 9: Celebrating Oregon established in 1859. Oregon trivia, valentine card craft and decorate heart cookies.

February 16: President's weekend. Where's George, Abe and the cherry tree scavenger hunt. Presidential trivia, silver dollar toss. Roast hot dogs and cherry pies in the fireplace.
February 22-24: Area Attraction: Annual birding and blues festival at Cape Kiawanda community center. Guided field trips, seminars and work shops, birding safari and blues concerts.
March 1-2: Area Attraction: Spring Craft Sale at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds Convention Center.
March 15: Luck O' the Irish St. Patty's corned beef & cabbage dinner. Our annual Paddy's Pig game and the shamrock hunt. Enjoy the musical sounds of Lee King immediately following the dinner. Area Attraction: March 15-16 Taste of Tillamook County Food and Music Festival

March 22: Easter Weekend Easter egg coloring and egg hunt.
Area Attraction: Annual Easter egg hunt at 10am at the local high school.
March 29: Disney Daze. All activities include Disney characters including a puppet show. Area Attraction: Great Oregon Spring Beach Clean Up (SOLV)
April 5: Loser's Bingo Weekend. What have you got to lose? We'll be playing loser's bingo. Area Attraction: 21st Annual Home and Garden Show 5th & 6th at the Tillamook Co. Fairgrounds.
April 12: Life's a Beach Weekend. Nature walk to the beach to collect treasures and build sand sculptures. Bring beach treasures back to the preserve to make a beach craft souvenir.
April 19: Doggin Daze. Doggie pet show, Doggie pet crafts, Roastin' Doggies in the fireplace, Doggie treats recipe sharing.
April 26: Character Weekend. Humpty Dumpty egg toss. Little Red Riding Hood scavenger hunt. Simple Simon Bingo. Tinkerbell crafts. Area Attraction: 25th and 26th Netarts Community Club 8th Annual Spring Rummage Sale at the Netarts Fire Hall.
May 3: Kentucky Derby Daze. Family fun as you move your horse around the track with a roll of the dice. Bring out the mint julep and your derby hats and watch the derby run on the big screen TV.
May 8-9: Area Attraction: 12th Annual Farm Fest at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds.

May 10: Happy Mother's Day Weekend We will be making special Mother's Day crafts and performing a special puppet show for Mom/Grandma.
May 16: Area Attraction: Mustangs and Fords Club 8th Annual Cruise In from 6-10pm in downtown Tillamook.

May 17: Car Show at the Cheese Factory parking lot.
May 17: Return to Oz. Over the Rainbow scavenger hunt. Follow the yellow brick road to breakfast. Experience our munchkin munchies and enjoy Lee King entertainment. When your visit is over, the Wizard will ensure your safe return home.

May 24:50's to 500 Weekend Hula Hoopin', Bubble Gum blowing, & poodle skirts. Family fun entertainment with our Indy 500 car races. The Fabulous Cover Dawgs band entertains on Saturday night. On Sunday, Scott Davis will host his magic show at 1pm, plus Karaoke fun that evening.
June 7: What a Wonderful World. Participate in a mini golf tournament, take a nature hike, or stay inside and make summer themed crafts. Enjoy Dr. A with his mighty sax for 2 performances.
June 14: School's Out Celebration. A weekend full of summer games and events. Make a special craft for Dad/Grandpa preparing for Father's Day. Allen Byer entertainment. Area Attraction: Wine, Cheese and all that Jazz Festival in Rockaway.
June 21: Old Tymer Daze. Pucker up for Becky Thatcher's lemonade social. Huck Finn raft craft. Scavenger hunt searching for Injun Joe. Enjoy the Old Time Fiddlers District 8 entertainment. Area Attraction: Annual Quilt Show at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds.
June 28: Animal Safari. Pawprint cards, Puppy Paw Bingo, Safari masks, Reigning Pooch review dog show, Goofy Golf, Woodsy scavenger hunt and pinecone birdfeeders. Enjoy the Country/Christian sounds of Wayne Graber (formerly of Faithful Heart). Area Attraction: June Dairy Festival and Parade and Tillamook County Rodeo 28th and 29th.
July 4: Area Attraction: 11:00 Parade and Fireworks at dusk in Rockaway.
July 5: Let Freedom Ring Carnival games, Scott Davis animal balloons and Hired Hands Band plays 3 performances. Area Attraction: Clover's Day parade and festival in Cloverdale. Fireworks at Bob Straub park in Pacific City.

July 12: Pirates of Penzance. Got tatoos? We do, stop in at the tatoo parlor, treasure chest craft and treasure maps, Pin the Eye Patch on the Pirate. Ahoy Maties it's Carol and Bobby Dee to perform 2 shows. Local Attraction: Western Horsemen on Oregon NORA show at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds.
July 13: Latimer Quilt and Textile Center open house on Wilson River Loop Road in Tillamook.
July 18-20: 49th Annual Dory Days Festival at Cape Kiwanda.
July 19: Luau Feast! Pineapple pancakes, leis craft, find the hidden Doles on the scavenger hunt, then Pin the Parrot in the Palm tree. Hufangalupe Polynesian dancers will outfit multiple times to make you feel like you have traveled to other countries and dance to their native cultures. Lutke Gospel Service on Sunday. Local attractions: Rockaway street dance
July 26: "Mad Hatter" Tea party with crazy hats (we provide the hats, you bring the crazy hair), Off with yer head goose golf, paintin' the roses red we're playing with only hearts for bingo. Rabbit don't be late for breakfast, the first one in line gets breakfast free! Join Connie Hays for entertainment with 2 performances. Local attractions: The 4-H horse show at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds.
August 1: Area Attraction: Tillamook Moonlight Madness
August 2: "Amazing Trail" Hike the Pacific Mist Trail, Rambler's Overlook then the Beach trail. Enjoy the warming sounds of Norm Lynn. Area Attraction: Rockaway Street Dance.
August 6-9: Local attraction: Tillamook County Fair
August 9: County Fair Weekend Chicken Foot Bingo, watermelon eating Pick a pard'ner for the puddin' eatin' contest. Jazz in' it up and prepare for Capital City Jazz Band.
August 16: Redneck Git Er Dun Weekend: Flippin flapjacks for breakfast, thumb wrestlin' & outhouse races. Slap yer' knee and toe tappin' to Hired Hands (2 performances). Area Attraction: 16th and 17th 5th Annual Old Iron Show & NW Regional Show-Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Show at the Blue Heron Cheese Factory in Tillamook.
August 23: Heritage Weekend Join us for our anniversary of 28 years providing excellent customer service to our valuable members. Honoring 28 member vows. Anniversary cake, punch and coffee served. Your family heritage is celebrated making the family tree craft. Enjoy the inspirational country music from Heritage (2 performances). Area Attractions: The Great American Coastal Duck Race at the Blue Heron Cheese Factory. The 4th Annual Beaver Cruise In and BBQ at Beaver Grocery.
August 29-31: Area Attraction: Moograss and Bluegrass Festival at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds.
August 30-31: Labor Day Weekend Play games at the carnival booths, face painting and Scott Davis animal balloons, karaoke & magic show. Dance to The Fabulous Cover Dawgs band.
September 6: Annual Cook-Off Weekend Make your favorite casserole, dessert, appetizer, soup, chowder or chili. Bring your recipe's to share after the judging is final. Learn to sing the Club Blazer camping song with Roger ‘Hurricane' Wilson.
September 13: Mystery Weekend Who Dunnit solve the mystery game. Clues provided at each activity to assist solving the mystery. Only clues are on the menu for dinner. There is no mystery about our entertainer, 20's-40's music with the inspirational voice of Connie Hays for 2 performances. Area Attraction: Planes, Trains & Automobiles Show at the Tillamook Air Museum.
September 20: Ranchin' Ropin' Western Daze Learn to rope, sing cowboy ballads or go to jail (proceeds benefit our Christmas for Children) plus Trigger Piñata fun. Tri Tip Beef or Chicken Dinner with all the fixins, followed by The Rafters for your entertainment. Area Attraction: Great Oregon Fall Beach Clean UP (SOLV) and The Annual Rockaway Autumn Festival.
September 27: Hobo Daze. Bring a veggie to dump in our Hobo Stew. Join in the karaoke fun with Ernie Kropf & family.
October 4: Fall Fest Weekend We will provide the snacks at the lodge decorating party for Oktoberfest & Halloween. Fall crafts and fall color hikes. Lee King will put you into the fall spirit with his fabulous music. Area Attraction: 4th and 5th North Coast Seafood Festival at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds.
October 11: Fall Film Fest Oldies but Goodies on the big screen. Popcorn and snacks provided. Dogtoberfest pet show and pet greeting card craft. Area Attraction: Neskowin Valley Harvest Festival at Neskowin Valley School
October 18: Oktoberfest German games, beer and root beer chugging, pretzel toss, pin the foam on the beer & root beer. Traditional authentic German dinner (brats, kraut, German potato salad, rye bread, German chocolate cake topped off with and back by popular demand, The Greg Meier Bavarian Quartet.
October 25: Monster Mash Bash Participate in pumpkin painting, mask craft, caramel apple sucker bingo. Masquerade Ball with the Three Hole Punch Band.
October 31: Area Attraction: Halloween Party at the Kiawanda Community Center in Pacific City.
November 7-8: Area Attraction: Holiday Bazaar at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds.
November 11: Area Attraction: Veteran's Appreciation Day at the Tillamook Air Museum.
November 22: Thanksgiving Weekend Traditional homemade dinner. We supply the turkey, gravy, potatoes, dressing, rolls, cranberry sauce & beverages. U-Bring a side dish, contact the preserve for reservations 503-965-6086 or sign up at the preserve. Entertainment with Lee King immediately follows the feast.
November 27: Area Attraction: Kiawanda Community Center Thanksgiving Potluck.

December 5-6: Area Attraction: Tillamook County Pioneer Museum Festival of Trees in Tillamook & tree lighting. Holiday Bazaar tour of local churches, community centers and schools in Tillamook County.
December 20: Christmas Dinner Traditional home-made ham dinner and the holiday fixins' followed with Lee King entertainment.
December 31: P.C's Rockin New Year's Eve with The Rafters.
