Welcome to our activities page! Here is some general information that you might find useful:

CAMPFIRES: Wood campfires are permitted year around except when conditions prohibit them. Some campsites have a BBQ ring, while others have a rock ring. Wood is for sale at the ranger station and store for $5 per bundle. Accessories for campfires such as extended camp forks, hot dogs, and marshmallows (as well as graham crackers and chocolate candy bars for making s'mores!) are also available at the store.

MEAL SERVICE: Lunches and dinners are served from May through October. Homemade sandwiches, burgers, kielbasa, dogs, soups, chowder and chili are just a few of our speciality lunches. Grilled steak and salmon, chicken, spaghetti, tri-tip beef, are standard dinner fare. We'll also be having special events like a Fish Fry, Oktoberfest and Luau feast. Breakfast and Lunch on weekends May-September. Special Luau dinner on July 25th.

January 17th: Celebrating Freedom: Freedom Facts and USA themed events such as Freedom Dash for Play Cash.

January 24th: Snow Daze. Hidden snowflakes scavenger hunt & marshmallow snowflake crafts. Melt your snowflakes in hot cocoa.

February 6-7th: Community Event:  Chocolate, Wine & Art Your Heart’s Desire at the Pelican Pub in Pacific City.

February 6-16: Community Event: Quilt Run 101 Oregon Coast Shop Hop Astoria to Brookings.  Passport stamping to qualify for prizes.

February 7th: Celebrate Oregon history. Beaver vs. Duck crafts. Oregon Trivia.

February 14th: Hearts, Hearts, Hearts: Hidden hearts hunt, presidential trivia.  Heart dragonfly craft. Hearts (only hearts) Bingo. Valentine’s craft. Chili & Cherry pies. 

February 21st: Money Weekend. What do you know about our all American Dollar?  Coin toss. Penny Pendant craft.

February 28th:  Beach Blizzard. Coastal Scenes Hunt. Make a Seashell pencil holder.  Paper snowflake decorations. 

March

March 7th: Daylight Savings begins. Spring forward sunshine crafts.  Community Event: Spaghetti Feed & Silent Auction at Rockaway City Hall.  Spring Craft Sale at the Tillamook Fairgrounds 7th and 8th. 

March 14th: Think Spring, Recycling and Crabbing. Spring bouquet recycle craft. Community Event: Garibaldi Crab Races 14th & 15th. 

March 21: Fairy Tale Daze. Story Book character scavenger hunt. Story time.  Community Event: Taste of Tillamook Food & Music Fest 21st & 22nd.

March 23-27: Spring Break activities

March 28:  Disney Daze.  Mickey, Goofy, Alice, Snow White, 7 Dwarfs and many more. Puppet show. Community event: Great Oregon Spring Beach Cleanup SOLV.

April

April 4th: Home & Garden weekend. Pine cone bird feeder crafts. Recycled planters.  Garden Tile craft. Community Event: 22nd Annual Home & Garden Show at Tillamook Fairgrounds 4th & 5th.

April 11th:  What’s with all the Bunnies?  Count all the new baby bunnies. Egg coloring and egg hunt. Community Event: Easter Egg hunt at Cloverdale High School. 

April 17-19th: Community Event Lincoln City annual garage sale, over 100 participants.

April 18th: Flea Market Daze. Sell your goodies in the lodge. Table (6’) provided. Limit 20 tables available, $20 per table. Contact the preserve to reserve your space 503-965-6200. 

April 25th:  Monopoly  Marathon Weekend. Who can obtain the most properties, money & net worth? 

May

May 2nd:  “Kentucky Derby Daze.”  Find The Race Horse Scavenger Hunt.  Horse crafts and play the derby race game.  Kentucky derby run for the roses on the big screen TV in the Family Lodge. 

May 7-8th: Community Events: 13th Annual Farm Fest  Days at the Tillamook Fairgrounds.

May 9th: “Celebrating Mom” Treat Mom to some Tillamook ice cream at our Ship Mates Store.  Mom’s Day special handmade craft. Community Events: VFW  Plant & Rummage Sale in Bay City. 

May 10th: Community Event: Latimer Quilt & Textile Center Open House in  Tillamook  

May 15th: Community Event: Mustangs & Fords 9th Annual Cruise-In Tillamook in downtown Tillamook.  
 
May 16th: “Gone To The Dogs” Look for the hidden dogs scavenger hunt. Make a pet greeting card then dress up those companions to compete in our “All Pooch Review Dog Show”. “Paws  In The Rain” 4-H  Dog Show at Tillamook fairgrounds. Mustangs and Fords Car Show at the Tillamook Cheese Factory.  Mutt Masters Dog Show And Olympics held in Lincoln City.

May 23-24th:  “Memorial Day Weekend” Remember our troops and others who have made sacrifices for this country. Find “USA facts” scavenger hunt and “Hooray for the USA” crafts. Our Big Screen TV will host the Indy 500 race. Community Events:  Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad in Garibaldi. Netarts Community Clam Chowder Feed. 

May 30th: “Trekkie” Dress up as your favorite Star Trek characters and compete in our costume contest.  Bring your Trekkie memorabilia to share your collection in the family lodge. Trekkie characters scavenger hunt. Enjoy popcorn at our Star Trek movie marathon.

June

June 6th:  “Fins And Scales”- This weekend is very fishy. Make a fish necklace craft. “Finding Nemo” scavenger hunt. Walk the trails to our beautiful beach. Finding Nemo movie. Community Events:  Free Fishing Day Trask River Hatchery in Tillamook. Kids Free Fishing Derby at Hebo Lake.

June 13th: “Star Spangled Banner” Flag day is  June 14th. Find the hidden flags scavenger hunt. Show your patriotism, by making your own flag key chain, Pin the Star on the Flag game. Community Event: 9th Annual Tillamook  Farmer’s Market.

June 20th:  “Dairy Daze”- Got Milk? Find the Dairy Cows Scavenger Hunt.  Make a dairy cow craft & Father’s Day cards. Enjoy ice cream and sundaes in the Shipmates Store. Moo Bingo. Pin the bell on the milk cow game. Community Events: Wine, Cheese And All That Jazz in Rockaway and the Wheeler Crab Festival.

July

July 4th: “Happy Birthday USA” -Celebrating The USA scavenger hunt,  make your own USA piggy bank,  join us for carnival games and animal balloons with Scott Davis.   Club Blazer Walker Wolf week. Community Events: Old Fashion 4th of July Parade & Fireworks at Rockaway. Cloverdale’s Clover’s Day Festival & Parade. Fireworks display over the ocean at Bob Straub Park in Pacific City.

July 11th: “Western Daze” and “Pacific City Rambler’s 20th year Anniversary”- Cowboy & Cowgirl’s  scavenger hunt. Cowboy hat-toss. Chicken foot bingo. Roy Roger’s “Trigger” piñata. Enjoy a western dinner with all the fixin’s with the PC Ramblers. Toe tappin’ & dancin’ with “The Rafters”. Club Blazer Hoot the Owl Week. Community Events: 24th Annual Gary Anderson Open Golf Tournament in Tillamook. Western Horseman Of Oregon  NORA  Show at Tillamook fairgrounds 11th & 12th. July 17-19th:  “Fabulous 50’s”- Lost in The 50’s scavenger hunt. Bookmark craft ofyour favorite Peanuts character. Enjoy bubble gum blowing and hula hooping, Entertainment with Wayne Graber (formerly of Faithful Heart). Club Blazer Harley Bear week. Community Events: 50th Annual Dory Days festival. 4-H Horse Show 17-18th at the Tillamook fairgrounds. Rockaway street dance on the 18th & Nehalem’s annual Celebration of Crafts July 18-19th.

July 25th:  “Luau”- Breakfast special Pineapple Pancakes at the Sea Galley café. Find hidden pineapples during a scavenger hunt. Make a lei bracelet. Pin the parrot in the palm tree game. Club Blazer Philbert the Squirrel week. Luau dinner feast with roasted pork, Hawaiian rice, baked corn casserole and cheese & polynesian slaw. Escape to the Islands of Paradise with Lee King. Community Events: Garibaldi Days 25-26th.

July 31st:  Community Event: Downtown Tillamook Moonlight Madness 7-10pm.

August

August 1st: “Say Cheese, Please” Cheese hunt. Cheese crafts. Cheese social. Club Blazer Dray Save the Rays Dragonfly week. Enjoy 2 performances with Connie Hays.  Community Events: Tillamook Cheese 100th Anniversary Celebration at the Cheese Factory.  Rockaway Street Dance.   

August 5-8th: Community Event: Tillamook County Fair theme “When Pigs Fly”. Pig & Ford races, 4-H exhibits & shows, horse racing, demolition derby, concerts & more.

August 8th: “County Fair Daze” Partner pudding eating. Make your own kite. Club Blazer Haley Hawk week. Welcome back Lee King family entertainment.

August 15th: “Harry Potter” Find Harry Potter characters during a scavenger hunt. Snowy owl craft. Watch a Harry Potter movie with popcorn. Club Blazer Walker Wolf week. Karaoke fun with the Ernie Kropf family. Community Events: Tillamook Bay Run at Bay Ocean Spit. 6th Annual Old Iron Show at the Blue Heron Cheese Company in Tillamook 15-16th. Rockaway Arts & Crafts Festival 15th & 16th.   

August 22nd: “Heritage  Weekend”. Celebrate 29 years of  customer service this year.  Create your own heritage family tree craft. Anniversary cake and beverages. Club Blazer Hoot the Owl week. “Heritage” entertainer show and gospel service. Community Events:  5th Annual Beaver Cruise & Q at Beaver grocery. Rockaway Street Dance. Return From The Burn Celebration at the Tillamook Forestry Center. 

August 29th: “Pirates Of  The Pacific”- Treasure Map scavenger hunt. Treasure Chest Piggy Bank. Tattoo parlor & pin the eye patch on the pirate game. Club Blazer Dray Save the Rays week. Norm Lynn returns for another outstanding performance. Community Events: Oregon Tuna Classic at The Old Mill in Garibaldi. 

September

September 5th: “Labor Day Weekend” - Celebrating The USA Scavenger Hunt, America Bookmark craft. Carnival Games & Scott Davis balloon artist. Entertainment by The Fabulous Cover Dawgs Band. COMMUNITY EVENT: Sept. 6 Carnival In The Park @ Rockaway Beach 

September  12th: “Wizard Of Oz”  Find the characters from the this classic movie.  Over the Rainbow mobile craft. COMMUNITY EVENT: 25th Annual YMCA Dinner and Auction 5:30-10pm at Tillamook Co. Fairgrounds, reservations 503-842-9622.
 

September 19th: “Safari Weekend" Enjoy the Animal Safari scavenger hunt, then make an African safari mask. COMMUNITY EVENT: Great Oregon Fall Beach Clean-Up the Oregon Coast/SOLV, 10am-1pm, FMI www.solv.org. Sept. 19-20th: Autumn Festival Rockaway Beach Wayside, www.rockawaybeach.net
