Theme Weekends 2008

May 9-11 Opening Weekend
Spring has sprung and the camping season has begun. So grab your rake and gloves and help us put the finishing touches on the campground. (‘Why My Mom is Special’ poem contest will take place this weekend for Mother’s Day.) Mom’s get free coffee all day at the Galley.

May 16-18 Flower Power Weekend
Come help us dress up the campground with some beautiful color. Let’s plant those beautiful flowers that will bloom all summer long. We will have a coloring contest and flowering crafts.

May 23-26 Memorial Day Weekend
It’s the beginning of the summer season and the official opening of the pool and lake. We will have hayrides, arts & crafts, races and tournaments. Join us at the Pavilion on Saturday night for the music of DJ Pat and Sunday night for the live music of the band Right Hand Red.

May 30-June 1 Nature Weekend
Nature is all around us here at Sea Pines. Let’s get out and join nature this weekend. We will have frog races, nature walks and a hayride.

June 6-8 Crazy Kraft’s Weekend
We want to bring out your creative and crafty side this weekend. We will have all kinds of crafts and activities this weekend for your enjoyment.

June 13-15 Father’s Day Weekend
We will be celebrating ‘Dad’s Day’ this weekend. Fathers eat free at the Galley with a selected children’s meal purchase. Dad’s get free coffee all day at the Galley. Kids come show your Dad you care by making him a special gift. Also we will be saluting ‘Flag Day’ this weekend.

June 20-22 Here Comes Summer Weekend
Let’s get ready to have a great summer here at Sea Pines. We will have a chicken Bar-B-Q at the Pavilion plus many more summer activities at the pool. Cost for the Bar-B-Q will be $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. DJ Sonja will be spinning summer tunes on Saturday night at the Pavilion.

June 27-29 Pajama Party Weekend
Put on those jammies and join us at the Pavilion as we tell stories, eat some snacks and play some games. Then come to the Pavilion later Saturday night for the Cross Country Dancers DJ’s.

July 4-6 Independence Day Weekend
We will celebrate our Red, White & Blue this weekend. Site decorations and bicycle decorations will dominate our weekend. We will also be having many more activities and tournaments. There will be entertainment on Saturday night by the live band Right Hand Red and on Sunday night by the Spice Band at the Pavilion.

July 11-13 Pig Roast & Luau Weekend
Come and enjoy our annual pig roast. Dinner is Saturday at 5pm at the Pavilion. Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children under 12. Entertainment after dinner by DJ Sonja.

July 18-20 Summer Fair Weekend
One of our most favorite summer weekends….we celebrate youth this weekend. We will have a moon bounce all day for children, a clown to make you laugh, and face painting. We will also have a Caricaturist to draw your likeness. Saturday night at the Pavilion DJ Sonja will spin some tunes for your listening pleasure.

July 25-27 Christmas in July Weekend
It’s Christmas time at Sea Pines this weekend. Join us for site decorating and holiday fun with crafts and caroling. Get prepared early by making your list for Santa. Bring an unwrapped gift to donate for a local charity for the 2008 holiday season for those less fortunate. We also have a big surprise visit in store for all you good boys and girls! Music by DJ Sonja on Saturday night at the Pavilion.

August 1-3 Pool Splashin’ / Yard Sale Weekend
Pool activities all weekend long. Music by DJ Sonja at the Pavilion on Saturday from 2pm to 8pm. Sign up in the store for an ‘At Your Site Yard Sale’ on Saturday as well.

August 8-10 Casino Weekend
Fun will be our main topic this weekend as we have a casino fun night at the Pavilion. We will need your participation to be our dealers as we play casino games. For fun only, no money involved. Entertainment Saturday night by Cross Country Dancers DJ’s.

August 16-17 Western Weekend
Get out those cowboy hats & boots as we learn to line dance with the Cross Country Dancers DJ’s at the Pavilion. Water gun shoot-outs and activities galore this weekend.

August 22-24 Bluegrass Weekend
Bluegrass music will be heard throughout the park this weekend as you listen to the live music of the band Stone Mountain Road on Saturday night at the Pavilion.

August 29-September 1 Labor Day Weekend / Yard Sale
This is the last official weekend of the season. Get ready to have some great times to remember. We will have tournaments, hayrides, and live music on Saturday by Siren Band and Sunday by the band Right Hand Red. Also Lake & Shore / Sea Pines Championships

September 5-7 Lottery Weekend
It’s that time of year again when you get to participate in the lottery to get your pick of sites for next year. The lottery drawing is Saturday, September 6th at 10:00am at the Pavilion. All drawing cards must be turned in by Friday, September 5th by 8:00pm. Good luck to all participating in the lottery. It is also Grandparents Day this weekend so let’s make something special for the special people in your life. Also we will have ‘Show Off Your Pets’ this weekend.

September 12-14 Pot Luck Weekend
Do you think you’re Betty Crocker? Do you have a special dish you are famous for making? Make a dish and come socialize with your fellow campers. Sign up in the store to participate in a pot luck dinner Saturday night. No charge, just bring a dish to feed 10 people.

September 19-21 All Sports Weekend
We will have all kinds of sports this weekend: baseball, soccer and football. This will be a member directed activities weekend. So let’s all get together and have a great time playing all these sports.

September 26-28 Let’s Welcome Fall Weekend
Crafts, coloring and games to play dominate this weekend as the end of the season comes to a close. Come on down to play a last round of mini golf for the season.

October 3-5 Board Games Weekend
Come play all your favorite board games this weekend such as Monopoly, Life, Payday, Scattergories, etc. Come down to the store to get your board games. You can take them back to your trailer or play at the Galley tables.

October 10-12 Bon Voyage Weekend
It’s that time of year again where we say so long for the winter. Come to the Galley on Saturday and enjoy an afternoon social with your friends.
